Arican produces aggregates for use within the construction trade, allowing for the manufacture of both asphaltic agglomerates and concrete and pre-manufactured concrete products.
The company is one of the longest-standing members of Grupo Lopesan. Founded in 1978, its primary business concern is running four of its own quarries located in Gran Canaria, La Palma and Fuerteventura. To be more precise, the facilities can be found within the municipal districts of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Tuineje and Fuencaliente.
At these facilities, rock is blasted via explosives and then broken down and sorted into different sizes at specially designed plants, which are fitted with a main crusher, a secondary and tertiary mill and an impact mill, with conveyor belts and vibrating sieves to sort the rock into sizes for subsequent storage in silos, from which the pre-sorted aggregates can then be extracted for multiple uses.
