Lopesan Prefabricados (Dolcan)
Founded in 1984, Dolcan manufactures a range of concrete products for use within the construction industry. Manufactured products are subjected to strict quality controls, thereby offering clients the utmost reliability and safety. The company boasts fully modernised machinery, allowing it to offer impressive levels of quality and highly competitive market prices. Its pre and after-sales service ensures both security and comfort when purchasing.Dolcan offers its clients prestressed beams, blocks and fillers, members, pillars, purlins, caissons and pre-cast slabs. Operations take place in two production centres: one located at the Arinaga industrial estate within the municipal district of Agüimes, and the other in Juan Grande, located in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. The first centre busies itself with assembly line production of all the structural elements, whereas the latter focuses on assembly line industrial production of blocks and fillers for floor systems and building envelopes via a wide range of products. Dolcan’s average yearly workforce exceeds the fifty mark.
RESEARCH
Dolcan is firmly committed to research. The company invests in R&D thanks to an agreement it signed with the Fundación Universitaria de Las Palmas (Las Palmas University Foundation), in collaboration with the Escuela de Arquitectura (School of Architecture). This has allowed us to develop and market a quite unique product within the market of the Canary Islands: coloured concrete.
The initiative, which has boasted the involvement of the Ministry for Industry, has been made possible thanks to the Servicio de Diagnósticos Tecnológicos y de Identificación de Oportunidades de Innovación (technological diagnostics and opportunity identification service) available to companies of the Canary Islands and implemented by the Fundación Universitaria de Las Palmas.
