Lopesan Asfaltos y Construcciones has a workforce comprising roughly 350 highly-qualified and well-experienced workers. It has a team of around thirty technicians, including roadway engineers, senior technical industrial engineers, technical industrial engineers, technical civil engineers, architects, architect technicians, technical land survey engineers, practical surveyors and landscape technicians.
OCCUPATIONAL RISK PREVENTION SERVICE
1999 saw Lopesan Asfaltos y Construcciones create its own Occupational Risk Prevention Service, the purpose of which is to tackle accidents in the workplace both leading up to and during site construction, and also prevent work-related illnesses. This service is provided by a qualified workforce that provides consultancy to work superintendents on the preventive measures to be implemented. To illustrate the firm’s preventive resources, 44 workers from the middle management (Group managers, site managers and other managerial posts) have been specifically trained in accident prevention for the construction trade.
This service is equipped with the installations required to perform its functions and managerial tasks, including an office building, training facilities and a storage area for safety material, comprising collective and individual protective equipment, road signs for construction work, occupational risk signage and notices and first-aid kits, amongst other elements.
At Lopesan, we employ cutting-edge techniques to carry out our work and use the best available technology for the job at hand. Since 2000, our company has been able to take on the most demanding of projects, such as motorways, tunnels, earthworks, drilling, maritime work, and so on. The company owns a high-performance Wirtgen milling machine, which can also be used for micro-milling, as well as the following asphalt plants: an Intrame RM-260 in Gran Canaria, an RM-200 in Fuerteventura and a D-628 plant on the island of La Palma.
